Carime Duck
Carime A. Duck is a Import Compliance Specialist at Zisser Customs Law Group. She handles HTS classification, preparation of binding ruling requests, entry reviews, US Customs PEAs, cost reconciliation, and consulting with clients regarding ISA enrollment. It is through her experience that she has been successful in advising companies of what their Customs obligations are and has helped set up internal processes to monitor and control key risk areas.
Her expertise has also provided up the opportunity to train people on trade compliance issues utilizing our Masters Method approach. Carime is one of the developers of Zisser’s Masters Method import compliance training sessions. She has helped organize and develop the material for all of the Masters Method trainings. She is currently on board with Tradiance our development team building automation systems that will revolutionize HTS classification and import compliance program.
She use to work in the Supply Chain Security Group were she was responsible for over 50 supply chain security related engagements in the world, assisting companies in the enrollment, maintenance, and validation process of supply chain security programs (such as C-TPAT, AEO, and PIP). I prepared accurate supply chain security profiles, following up with Customs authorities on behalf of her clients, and preparing the documentation required by the programs. Her experience in supply chain security was important in developing teleconference assessments and training sessions, which helped us deliver cost-effective solutions to many clients. She has also been responsible in coordinating and creating new content and layout for our website and has participated in several webinars educating clients and associations in global supply chain security.
Carime’s background is in the logistics industry, having worked for a Customs brokerage firm, a global freight forwarder, and in a warehouse. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego, having graduated with a double major in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business and Spanish. She speaks fluent English and Spanish.
